EXTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Siting – large Rural property zoned for single family
  • To make carriage house legal we had to attach it to the main home with a breeze way
  • Outdoor courtyard protected from wind and hot sun, centrally located for family meals and campfires.
  • Low maintenance materials: aluminum railing, facia and soffit, Composite decking, James Hardie siding and Smart trim.
 
INTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Space needed for Mom and Dad and their children’s families.
  • Durable materials for stress free vacation use – vinyl plank floors, wood stained cabinets, tile showers
  • Lots of storage, communal laundry, privacy
 
BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Multi Generation recreation property.
  • Modest materials to keep budget in check.
