EXTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Siting – main axis of home facing south
  • Main floor within 7” of final grade - to do this we hung the floor package within the foundation
  • Low maintenance materials: aluminum railing, facia, and soffit, concrete patios, James Hardie siding and Smart trims
 
INTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Durable, natural finishing materials
  • Minimal penetrations through interior vapour barrier – exterior walls 2x6 with interior 2x4 service wall, interior ceiling drops or soffits to run electrical through.
  • High performance windows and doors by Innotech, mid wall installation and use of high-performance tape and spray foam
