EXTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Siting – there is a carefully calculated amount of glazing on the south side relative to the distance of this wall to the property line.  A variance was obtained to get the suite exterior stairwell covered.
  • Low maintenance materials: aluminum railing, facia, and soffit, vinyl decking, concrete patio, James Hardie siding and Smart trims

INTERIOR CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Finished concrete floor met the industrial vibe but also is a very good sound barrier between the suite and the main floor.
 
BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Homeowners lifestyle was priority over finishes so that was always forefront in making design decisions.
